The staff of Natomas Crossing Dental Care appreciates the trust and confidence you place in our ability to treat you and your family. Please read the following information carefully and feel free to ask us any questions during your first visit.
Your First Visit
Your initial visit to our office typically includes a cleaning, oral exam and X-rays. The X-rays are necessary to allow your dentist to view the structure of the jaw, the position of any teeth that have not yet erupted, malformed roots and tooth decay.
The first visit also involves getting your medical history. When you share your medical history with the dentist, be sure to provide complete, up-to-date information about your health. Inform your dentist if you have experienced recent hospitalization or surgery, or if you have recently been ill. Also provide the names, doses and frequency of all medications you are taking — whether prescription or over-the-counter products — and the name of your physician. Inform the dentist of any changes in your health or medications. It is also important to bring up any fears you may have about dental treatment.
The information collected in your first visit will help the dentist select the safest and most effective method of treatment for you. It would be helpful to print, fill out and bring the health history form to your first appointment.
Appointment Reservations
Patients are seen by appointment only. We make every effort to be on time for our patients, and we ask that you extend the same courtesy to us. If you cannot keep an appointment, please notify us as soon as possible.
Financial, Payment and Insurance Policies
Cost
The cost of treatment depends on the severity of the patient’s problem. You can discuss fees and payment options before treatment begins. We offer payment plans to suit different budgets. We also accept assignment from most insurance plans, and we file the necessary papers to the insurance company. We work hard to make dental care affordable and to make sure that you maximize your insurance benefits.
Fees and Financing
In an effort to keep fees down while maintaining the highest level of professional care, we have established this financial policy:
- If full payment is made at the onset of treatment, we offer a fee discount since no further bookkeeping is needed
- To fit your individual needs for extensive treatments, financial arrangements can be made to extend your payments over a period of months
- For your convenience, we accept payment by Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express
- We offer financing through Care Credit. It takes just five minutes to sign up via the links below:

Insurance
If you have dental insurance, we help you determine the coverage you have available. Professional care is provided to you, our patient, and not to an insurance company. Thus, the insurance company is responsible to the patients and patients are responsible to the doctor. As a courtesy, we help in any way we can to file your claim and handle insurance questions from our office on your behalf. If your dental insurance company denies or makes a partial payment for services you received in our office you are responsible paying remaining balances on your account.
